FPGA Design/Architect Engineer

This position plays a key role in the development of advanced aerospace and defense systems, leveraging expertise in FPGA design to support high-performance embedded systems. The company’s focus on technology-driven solutions for various critical applications such as satellites, GPS, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities:

Digital & Firmware Development: Lead the design process from architecture and component selection to implementation and production ramp, ensuring successful FPGA-based solutions.FPGA Design: Design and implement digital circuits using Verilog or VHDL.Optimization of FPGA Solutions: Develop and optimize FPGA solutions tailored for specific applications.Collaboration: Work with hardware and software engineers to ensure FPGA designs integrate smoothly into larger systems.Industry Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest embedded high-speed systems technologies and industry trends, including standards like SOSA.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in FPGA design and architecture.Technical Skills:Strong understanding of digital design fundamentals.Proficiency in Verilog or VHDL.Experience with FPGA development tools such as Xilinx, Altera, Vivado, or Intel Quartus.Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and/or embedded systems is a plus.Familiarity with SOSA (Sensor Open Systems Architecture) is a plus.Experience with complex circuit board design.Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
