FPGA Design Engineer

Day in the life of… 
Fluke in Poland is growing - we are setting up a new R&D team in Wroclaw to deliver our newest products. This is a rare opportunity to build a new team within an already established environment.

You will be part of engineering team for developing Fluke products, such as thermal imaging cameras, power quality or data network analyzers. You will work in an agile environment with flex time and hybrid or full office work options.  You will work closely with the System leads, Program Manager and other Engineers to create the architecture and design for new products, as well as enhance and sustain existing ones. You have also the opportunity to visit customers to incorporate their feedback into the development.  You will ensure the product performance and quality aligns with the outstanding quality Fluke is recognized for.
 

Responsibilities 

Participate on the design development of new product development   Design to performance and cost specifications, applying a high degree of innovation and leading-edge engineering techniques Creative while developing practical solutions for standard work and solutions to complex problems Effective collaboration with customers, channel partner and sales representatives with the goal to develop product that meet market needs  Self-Planning tasks in relation to plan and goals of the whole engineering team

Your team 

You will be part of a global engineering organization with team members in Europe, North America, and Asia. You will be a part of FPGA working group with opportunity to collaborate on internal standard workflows and processes. You will be working with other engineers: HW Engineers, SW Engineers, V&V Engineers.

 Possibly add collaborating and contributing to the FPGA internal working group for defining and optimizing standard workflows and processes.

Experience

University Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or similar, 3-7 years of commercial experience in FPGA design and simulation, using VHDL (preferred) and/or Verilog, Experience with Intel Altera or AMD Xilinx or Lattice platforms (FPGA & CPLD) and their development environments, Experience with image processing, video interfaces or signal processing with timing constrains, Understanding of measurement technology, electronics, and electrical engineering Experience with HDL simulation & modeling of complex FPGA pipelines. Experience with evaluating and integrating external IP modules into an FPGA architecture. Knowledge of version control software (GitHub), CI/CD and scripting language (e.g., Python), Comfortable with standard ECAD suites (e.g. Cadence) for defining component pin-outs and reviewing external device interfaces and net constraints.
