FPGA Design/Verification Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Design/Verification Engineer for a contract position. This role involves firmware engineering and FPGA design, focusing on the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software for firmware (IC embedded code) applications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both analog and digital hardware and software operating systems. Key Responsibilities:
+ Firmware Engineering: Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software for firmware applications.
+ Design Architecture: Perform design architecture activities for various programs and IRAD projects.
+ Programming: Program in machine language, assembly language, and high-level languages such as System Verilog, VHDL, C, and C++.
+ Hardware Development: Collaborate with the Hardware Engineering Team to complete hardware development, simulation, and verification for digital signal processing and general processing projects.
+ Team Support: Support Integrated Product Teams, Engineering Project Managers, and Program Office staff to meet customer objectives and program milestones.
Requirements:
+ ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
+ FPGA/Firmware Design: Ability to perform FPGA/firmware architecture and design.
+ Test Equipment Knowledge: General knowledge of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and analyzers.
+ Hardware Design Exposure: Knowledge and exposure to hardware design.
+ Programming Languages: Experience with System Verilog and/or VHDL, C, C++, and Matlab.
+ Digital Signal Processing (DSP): Experience in digital signal processing.
Technical Skills Required:
+ Matlab 2 - 4 Years
+ FPGA 4 - 6 Years
+ Simulation 2 - 4 Years
+ VHDL 2 - 4 Years
Desired Skills:
+ System Verilog Experience: While VHDL is typically used, System Verilog experience is a plus
