Exciting FPGA Engineer Role Supporting the Aerospace Industry!! Job Description We are seeking an FPGA Engineer to support work in the defense and aerospace industry. You will design and develop custom high-speed digital signal-processing cards and firmware for next-generation precision tracking radars and radar cross-section (RCS) measurement systems. This position requires onsite presence in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities + Capture design requirements. + Design and develop digital subsystems. + Perform VHDL/Verilog firmware development. + Collaborate with embedded software engineers to develop architectures. + Conduct hardware-in-the-loop testing. + Generate product documentation (e.g., Interface Control Documents, theory of operation). Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. + 5+ years of professional experience with Xilinx or Altera/Intel FPGA development. + 5+ years of professional experience with VHDL or Verilog programming. + Experience with logic simulation tools (e.g., Vivado, Aldec). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Xilinx RFSoC development. + Experience with digital circuit design. + Experience in radar imaging and/or tracking (e.g., SAR, ISAR), RF, electromagnetic theory. + Eligibility for a US secret security clearance. Work Environment You will work in a private workspace within a 50,000 square ft facility, with a mix of 50% desk work and 50% lab/floor work. The role involves significant FPGA programming initially, transitioning to more hardware design in the future. The environment is high-tech with low bureaucracy, few meetings, and a smart team. Physical agility is required for hands-on work with large indoor and outdoor radar systems, including lifting and mounting equipment up to 50 lbs. Core hours are 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility outside these hours. Initially, the position requires 100% onsite presence for training and collaboration. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $70.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
