We are seeking an experienced individual to join Motorsports Business Operations in Ford Performance. Business Operations supports the Motorsports Organization including Competition, Engineering and Marketing while working directly with Ford’s Supply Chain, Finance/Accounting, Legal/Risk Analysis and Vehicle Program Teams. Business Operations support spans across all of the race series Motorsports competes in which includes NASCAR, NHRA, multiple Sportscar series, Australia Supercar, Formula 1 and numerous Off-Road Racing series. This is a very dynamic, fast-paced, and unique position that incorporates a broad range of responsibilities with exposure to cross-functional management. We are looking for a Motorsports Marketing Operations Specialist to support the operational needs of the FPM Marketing Organization. The Motorsports Marketing Team provides various marketing related activities across NASCAR, NHRA, Sports Car racing series, Off-Road racing events and includes Customer Experience programs. Motorsports Marketing Operations responsibilities will include numerous supporting elements across this organization.
To be successful as the Motorsports Marketing Operations Specialist, you should have perseverance, patience, be able to stay organized, improve processes, and able to ensure accuracy of execution under demanding timelines. Ultimately, a top-notch candidate should have excellent organizational and people management skills.
This is a hybrid position, both onsite and remote, the onsite location is Allen Park, MI with the opportunity to work remotely while supporting the dynamic and global needs of the Motorsports team.
You'll have…
Bachelor’s degree required. Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent. 15+ years of experience in Marketing and Communications related to Motorsports or Racing. Able to succeed in a fast-paced, passionate work environment that requires quick turn-around. Detailed, Self-Organized and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Proficient using Excel, Outlook, Word and the suite of Microsoft Office programs. Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Prior experience in the motorsports industry managing the creative production aspects of marketing programs Experience working in an office environment requiring maintenance of creative displays. Familiar with activations and hospitality events related to Motorsports. Strong people management skills, excellent communication, both written and verbal. High degree of self-motivation and willingness to commit extra effort to always "get the job done". Candidate must be comfortable in speaking and working with a Director level management team and interfacing externally with Ford partners (teams, drivers, dealers, etc.). What you'll do…
The Motorsports Marketing Operations Specialist will support the Motorsports Program Teams and Business Operations as necessary; directly reporting to the Business Operations Manager. Provide regular interaction with the respective Program Managers, Marketing Managers, Business Owners, and external partners as required to support operational needs. Provide execution and retention of required Motorsports business office documents, including but not limited to drive letters, process sheets, approval documentation, non-disclosure agreements and other contractual related items. Provide business office support through software programs including DocuSign, Anaqua, Ariba and others as necessary. Support the Ford Performance Executive Administration as directed. Support with coordination of On-Road and Motorsports team-related meetings/activities. Support marketing vehicle fleet operations as needed (i.e. sale requests, toll violations, record retention). Support business office resourcing needs (i.e. FCG, FPTE, Intern) as directed by the Operations Manager. Support facility initiatives with internal and external partners for timely execution. Maintain the creative design of the Motorsports facilities (R57, FPTC, HUB, etc.) as directed. Manage the inventory for Motorsports trophies and associated logistics. Manage the Motorsports apparel distribution guidelines, inventory maintenance with partners. Author and process any JDA / NDA / Confidentiality documents as necessary. Coordinate and manage Dearborn-based activations, including partners and Ford Performance. Develop and manage new employee arrival package. Maintain master marketing matrix, outlining assets Ford Performance is entitled to annually; conduct quarterly review of utilization status. Assist, as needed, development of Ford Performance processes related to needs of Vehicle, Social, CRM, Insurance, etc.
