Job description
We are looking for two experienced Data Engineers to join an exciting consulting assignment within the retail industry in Sweden. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on modern data solutions in a complex system environment, supporting both new development and improvements of existing models.
About the Role
As a Data Engineer on this project, you will be instrumental in enhancing data pipelines, workflows, and DevOps processes. You will support the client in optimizing their dbt/Airflow implementations while also contributing to Git workflow improvements and DevOps best practices.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Develop and optimize dbt/Airflow-based data models, ensuring scalability and performance
🔹 Evaluate ETL processes and identify gaps in migrating from legacy systems
🔹 Improve Git workflows and streamline DevOps practices for better deployment and collaboration
🔹 Navigate complex system solutions, ensuring seamless integration and data consistency
🔹 Manage expectations and communicate limitations when best practices cannot be fully implemented
Project Details
📅 Start Date: ASAP
📆 Duration: Initial phase until June 2025, with a high probability of extension until December 2025
⏳ Allocation: Full-time (100%)
📍 Location: Stockholm, Sweden (On-site required 1 day per week)
🗣️ Language: Swedish & English (Non-Swedish speakers will only be considered if highly qualified)
Required Skills (Must-Have)
✅ dbt (core) - Strong experience in developing and maintaining dbt models
✅ Airflow (mwaa) - Hands-on expertise in workflow automation
✅ AWS - Experience in cloud-based data processing and storage
✅ Git & DevOps - Strong knowledge of version control and CI/CD processes
✅ Teradata - Proficiency in working with Teradata-based data environments
