JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports Creative Services is seeking a Freelance Motion Graphics Designer/Realtime Artist for our award-winning in-house design group. Our clients include studio and remote support for FOX NFL, FOX NASCAR, FOX MLB, FOX COLLEGE FOOTBALL, studio-based shows including THE HERD, UNDISPUTED, SPEAK FOR YOURSELF and many other clients. The Freelance Motion Graphics Designer/Realtime Artist will work with the Creative Director as well as production managers to maintain design standards and expectations of production values.

FOX Sports Creative Services is a centralized resource within FOX Sports. Our responsibilities include on-air branding, brand development, implementation and maintenance, set design, graphic design edit support, information graphic systems, graphic software development, real-time graphics via gaming engines (Unreal engine), Viz-RT, Ventuz, and proprietary systems, and graphic production management with offices in Los Angeles and Charlotte, North Carolina.

This is an IATSE position and requires membership in the Union.

Conceptualize, design, and execute new AR/VR featuresWork collaboratively across multiple disciplines, including design, software development, and engineering.Model, texture, light, and rig assets and environments for AR/VR executionsOptimize scenes to maintain minimum performance levelsBlueprint within Unreal EngineAssist in the development and implementation of testing proceduresTroubleshoot and resolve technical issuesParticipate in ongoing workflow enhancements

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

5+ years of experience in broadcast design or game developmentProficient working in real-time rendering software, particularly Unreal EngineProficient in Adobe Creative Cloud with 3D experienceFluent in Unreal Engine and Adobe Substance PainterHighly organized and motivated to work in a creative environmentAbility to work within strict timelines in an organized mannerAbility to multitask and work effectively in a time sensitive, high-pressure environmentTeam player and the ability to engage in written and verbal communication within and across departments

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $95,000.00-133,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $79,100.00-110,800.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
