Our global team of over 7,500 craft and technology experts brings together creative, production and innovation to help clients navigate this exciting and ever-changing world of today’s content experience.

We are looking for a freelancer to join our team on a home-office basis. The project requires approximately 400 hours of work, which will be spread out over 5 months. In addition to remote work, you can be required to participate in workshops at the client’s location. The project is set to begin between March and April. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy flexible work schedules and remote collaboration, with the added benefit of hands-on learning and engagement with the client.

 

What does a Creative Director do at Hogarth?

The Creative Director/Transcreator is responsible for writing headlines and localizing copy for our Technology clients marketing communications, which includes web, in-store, direct mail, and other materials. This involves supervising (and reworking) the adaptation of copy originally written in U.S. English, for other markets.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Write, review, and empower campaigns for the client’s brand and products.
• Maintain the brand tone of voice in your language. The tone should be consistent, regardless of the media format.
• Create or Transcreate copy by ensuring all messages are clear, follow the spirit of the English master copy and communicate the same strategic or product point.
• Guide and maintain the quality of the translated long copy, wherever it appears.
• Review, rewrite, and approve all translated marketing copy from our translation/editor teams.
• Attend confidential projects in the US when required.

 

Requirements

• Creative thinker with solid copywriting skills.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the advertising agency world:
• Gained in the best creative agencies in the market (not necessarily the biggest or most successful).
• Working as a copywriter and then copy-based Creative Director/Transcreator for a good number of years.
• Worked on international and local brands.
• Fluent in written and spoken English. Understands language subtleties (especially when it comes to adapting headlines).
• Conceptual creative who can come up with big ideas (when needed), but also focused on the smallest details (like punctuation).
• Outstanding copy-editing / proofreading skills.
• Obsessed with excellent writing that is thoughtful, meaningful, provocative at times, clear, and inspiring.
• Teamwork – easy to get along with – be able to work with Editors and a team of creative.
• In-country based / native speaker (in the market language).
• Tech-savvy / used Mac before (or willing to learn).
• Good knowledge of technology products on the market.
• Must be able to travel as required, sometimes several weeks at a time.
• Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.

 

Candidates must have 5 years old MacBook.

- Be willing to work on-site in Miami for several weeks at a time if required (for workshops)

- Hold a current tourist visa to enter the U.S.
