When joining the team as Freight Carrier Manager, your mission is to to continuously improve our logistics performance towards customers around the globe.
Role and responsibilitiesWithin the Carrier Management team, you work together with logistics professionals responsible for safeguarding ‘On Time’ and ‘In Full’ delivery of our products across the network. You are the interface towards our contracted freight forwarders, driving improvements and managing roadmaps executed by the 3PL. Moreover, you act as the 2nd line of escalation for carrier related issues.
In general, your responsibilities focus on but are not limited to:
Ensuring ASML products are delivered ‘on time and in full’ to our customers against agreed SLA’s, maintaining clear communication and alignment between our carriers, internal stakeholders and management
Identifying root causes and translating them into carrier development areas to improve processes and performance. Projects are initiated and positioned into ambitious but actionable roadmaps in close collaboration with the carriers, constantly maintaining oversight and steering to achieve goals
Applying the ‘Supplier Account Team (SAT)’ approach towards carriers, systematically using the ‘GQLTCS’ approach
Managing one of our core carriers
Leading internal End-2-End On Time Delivery improvement to meet established targets
Optimizing capacity utilization agreements to minimize costs and improve performance
Identifying opportunities to reduce costs by adapting internal ways of working
Education and experienceMaster/Bachelor degree in supply chain, logistics, business management or engineering, preferably in transportation related functions
>5 years of experience in 3PL, airline, freight forwarding or other sectors of the transportation industry, preferably in a large international company
Experience in a high-tech environment preferred
Affinity with complex business processes in matrix organizations
LEAN behavior and methodology experience preferred
