Job Description:

We are seeking a detailed-oriented Freight Forwarding Manager in Vietnam with thorough understanding of supply chain management and a proven track record in freight forwarding, to oversee and manage the transportation of goods between locations, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of goods to customers. Ideal candidate to be skilled at problem solving, with excellent negotiation skills and be able to lead a team effectively.

Responsibilities

Manage shipping and delivery processes of goods in the most efficient and effective manner and maintain internal Balanced Scorecard measurements effectiveness to plan.Implement operational improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costDevelop and maintain relationship with various carriers, agents and vendorsNegotiating contracts, transportation costs, and handling charges with carriers and agentsPricing and solution for existing and new opportunities.Address and resolve any issues or customer complaints, related to the freight forwarding process.Attend to internal financial reports (as required) and business planning processEnsuring compliance with regulations and laws related to international and domestic tradeManaging performance of staff and adherence to freight process, and customized customer SOPStay current with market changes in freight forwarding and shipping regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration or related fieldProven work experience in freight forwarding or a similar roleStrong knowledge of shipping regulations and proceduresExcellent leadership and team management skillsStrong negotiation and problem solving skillsGood computer skills in MS Excel, powerpointStrong analytical, organization and planning skills
