Our client, a transportation company located in Northlake, IL is looking for a freight logistics coordinator to join their team!

Role Responsibilities:

Oversee the movement of expedited LTL freight, ensuring it is handled in a cost-effective, secure, and timely manner.Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate and manage the flow of outbound domestic LTL shipments.Utilize TMS and its planning engine to determine the best routing, cost, and service options for expedited shipments.Work closely with local drivers and contractors to maintain a steady flow of freight and ensure on-time delivery.Address and resolve any distressed freight issues, ensuring quick and efficient solutions are implemented.Manage relationships with current expedited vendors to ensure service levels and cost efficiency.Monitor and track shipments to proactively identify any potential issues and take corrective action as needed.Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.Provide exceptional service and communication to both internal and external stakeholders.

Our client is looking for a candidate that can be level headed, able to work and manage their responsibilities independently, and demonstrate a calm confidence when corresponding with internal and external parties.

This position is fully in office, Monday-Friday, 10am-7pm, and is a temporary position with the opportunity to convert to a permanent position for the right candidate.
