Our foodservice business supplies many of the top restaurant chains in the United States. Overview Facilitates timely payment of transportation and warehouse invoices. Works with external providers to ensure current contract and spot rates are being properly maintained to allow for accurate payment of charges. Supports Transportation Administration Supervisor in completing administrative duties for the Transportation Department. Allows for separation of duties required for financial transactions. Responsibilities Work with carriers to acquire all documents necessary to complete provider setup in Marzetti transportation systems. Respond to payment inquiries from carriers and storage facilities. Document weekly fuel rates. Work with Breakthrough Fuel to acquire any missing fuel figures to ensure proper payment of invoices. Work with US Bank, carriers, and internal team members to resolve invoice exceptions and matching issues in US Bank’s payment program. Validate rates and routes loaded in Manhattan to satisfy Internal Audit requirements. Add accessorial charges to shipments in Manhattan to facilitate accurate payment of invoices. Audit or enter warehouse invoices and provide monthly warehouse accrual figures. Identify cost saving opportunities and pursue or pass to Operations team for follow-up. Support management with ad-hoc reporting and analysis. Provides back-up to Distribution administrative personnel during absences by assisting as needed. Assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards. Qualifications College degree preferred. Proficient in PC use within a Windows operating environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office software; especially mathematical formulation within Excel. Experience with data inquiry/business intelligence tools. Experience with U.S. Bank’s Syncada payment program Experience with Manhattan’s Transportation Management System Knowledge of distribution methods, modes and procedures, logistical practices and carrier/warehouse rate formats/pricing structures.
