THE JOB:
As an On Call Front Desk Clerk at Luxor, you are an essential part of guest experience. Your approachable, and personable demeanor, coupled with your dedication to provide delightful check-in experiences for guests will set the stage for the memories that they can carry with them well past their stay with us. By delivering top-notch guest experiences, you play a crucial role in elevating the overall guest experience.
THE STARTING RATE: $20.86
THE SCHEDULE: On Call
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Welcome guests to the property and the MGM Resorts by providing memorable service and anticipating guest needs
Respond and assist with guest conflict resolutions in a timely manner and anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve any potential challenges
Deliver a seamless and professional experience managing early and late property arrivals/departures and walk-ins and all other tasks associated with guest room check-ins and check-outs
Enhance guest experience by offering upgraded accommodations where available in accordance with authorized programs and processes
Partner with Housekeeping and other related departments to meet guest expectations and special requests
Ensure correct charges and credits are posted, collect payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and demonstrate responsibility in balancing all cash and cash equivalent transactions
Control and issue keys while promoting security, privacy, and confidentiality of all guests
Assist Guest Services Representatives as needed
Balance room inventory in advance and identify and resolve any over-commitments by room types
Review out of order rooms for accurate return dates; report any room maintenance problems to management, housekeeping and/or engineering
Run all daily reports that are required to complete necessary job duties such as group arrivals and departures, housekeeping briefs, and trace reports
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Is a minimum of 18 years of age
Has a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education experience
Has strong communication skills and can multitask efficiently, providing information, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns in a professional manner in a resort setting
Has prior experience using Opera, Amadeus, Tangerine, UA, or VisionLine
Has prior experience in similar roles such as Concierge, Guest Services, Front Desk Agent, or VIP Lounge Representative
Prior experience in a cash handling role
Has a flexible schedule
Bilingual
