Front Desk Receptionist/Asst

Are you an outgoing person or possess the skill to turn it on if not innately? The Front Desk Receptionist/Asst will set the tone for incoming guests jumpstarting their experience with us. In addition, there is an internal customer base as well (the employees). Whether a guest is here for News, Indy Now, or Sales, the right person must be able to be intentional with their professionalism, energy, and business acumen for these are just some of the reasons we are the number one station in the market. WXIN/WTTV is the powerhouse & we want guests leaving in agreement as a repeat is seldom available for the first impression opportunity.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Customer Service at its best! Greet visitors, employees, contractors, and guests with astounding professionalism and the right mix of energyManage the logistics of guest and client arrivals to include managing people, entry security clearance, and the guest bookAnswer incoming calls, take messagesSort incoming mail/distributePrepare outgoing packages/log incoming packages from carriers to include UPS & Federal expressSales tasks to include order entry, confirming spots for clients, and other local & national sales tasksNews tasks may include retrieving logged information for the investigative unitOther clerical duties to support the daily operation of the station as assigned

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS & NEEDED SKILLS:

A degree in Business or comparable experienceMaintain 100% professionalism at all timesOne year experience in a robust high volume setting to include lobby management, clerical, and/or admin role preferably in Sales, Marketing or MediaEnergetic & Assertive with comfort in saying "No or Wait" when applicableSound Judgement & Decision-making skillsFluency in EnglishExceptional Interpersonal communication skills to include superb written skillsMust possess a high level of professionalism, discernment, and exceptional organizational skillsAbility to multitask & work extremely well with others as this role is often the point of first impressionThe ability to embrace the fluidness of the workplace, prioritize tasks, and exhibit team player attributesProficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
