Front-End Manager (Internal Candidates Only)-Richmond

As the Frontend Manager, you will oversee scheduling, training, and developing the frontend team, which includes Cashiers, Baggers and Customer Service Desk Clerks. Alongside leading the team, you will assist our guest with all of their needs. From compliments to corrections, you will ensure that our guests feel welcome at our store. You will also help with answering phone calls, overseeing the function of the frontend, and selling a variety of specialty items at our Service Desk. If you are outgoing, reliable, loyal and thrive in leadership roles, apply to be our Frontend Manager today! **Primary Position Duties:** + Customer Service + Manage front end lines and guests to be efficient and quick checkout procedure. + Oversee the training of all front end teammates. + Conduct produce audits and certification + Responsible for all supplies used on the front end including: register tape, bags, forms, cleaners and other items that are used. + When needed operate cash register and perform all related check out procedures as needed + Assist cashiers in override procedures + Be knowledgeable of where products are located in the store and be able to assist guests. + Bag grocery orders when needed + Ensure cashiers understand all promotion, advertisements and coupons that are effective each week. + Notify the scanning office of any pricing errors or undefined items. + Assist Service Desk during busy times. + Communicate and ensure proper execution and compliance with all company policies and programs on the front end and disciplining as necessary according to company procedures. **Position Requirements:** + Must be able to stand entire shift, use hands in lifting, gripping and cutting, talk, hear, and occasionally crouch or kneel + The ability to speak and understand the spoken word in order to respond promptly to pages, requests, co-workers and customers. + Ability to follow all policies and procedures of Lee's MarketPlace + Must be able to use a computer and all aspects including Micro Soft Office, internet and email. + Must be 21 years of age or older + 3+ years experience in operating a cash register and all aspects of checkout.
