Role Overview: The residential lead will support, supervise, and assist residents with daily activities and programs.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Assist residents in exercising their rights and performing daily routines.Accompany residents on community trips and activities.Provide guidance and support to residents in decision-making.Complete and review all necessary documentation and paperwork.Supervise activities suitable for each resident’s capabilities.Ensure adequate supervision between shifts.Attend residential and behavior meetings, orientation, and training sessions.Follow behavior programs and assist residents in meal preparation.Serve as a role model for residents and staff.Perform scheduled household chores.May require knowledge or learning of sign language and deaf culture, depending on the population served.Perform other duties as needed.

 

Lead Responsibilities:

Monitor daily logs and adherence to behavior programs.Complete food requisitions and oversee special diets.Plan activities, including trips, arts and crafts, cooking, and recreation.Ensure cleanliness of common areas in the absence of the Residential Manager.Ensure residents are dressed appropriately and maintain their dignity.Communicate medical issues to nursing staff.Assist staff with required paperwork.Attend program and behavior meetings as requested.Supervise and train staff to follow individual goals and objectives. Qualifications

Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years old.Must have a valid driver’s license.High school diploma or equivalent, plus one of the following:Associate degree in Residential Care, Human Services, Education, Counseling, Psychology, or Recreation.2 years or 1000 hours of experience working with children, plus 60 college credits (including 12 in specified fields).2000 hours of experience working with children, plus 24 credits in specified fields.Parent of a child over 7 years old.
