Job Summary

As a member of the Front of House team, the Front of House Associate will assist the staff in overseeing student event staff in the areas of building preparation (set up / load out) of common spaces and Studio Beta; general Box Office matters; and guest services.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent Two (2) years of related experience including guest services, event coordination or relevant customer service experience. 

Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Box Office experience 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to lift, carry, bend, walk and stand Ability to compose correspondence and reports Excellent planning, coordination, organizational and effective time management skills Ability to solve problems involving multiple variables and solutions in standard and unique situations Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic, communication and organizational skills. Strong ability and knowledge of field specific operational/administrative functions Excellent attention to detail

Preferred Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

Knowledge of performing arts operations

Shift

Weekends and evenings are routinely required, in addition to regular business hours. 

The ideal candidate will be available to work 1-2 weekend and/or evening shifts per week, and will provide an average of 30 hours total per week. 

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
