Overview The Front of House Lodging Intern will assist in ensuring an exceptional guest experience by providing high-quality customer service, supporting daily hotel operations, and learning the various functions of the front desk, guest services, and other areas of the hotel. Handle check-ins, check-outs, and any guest inquiries or issues. Reservations Management: Assist with booking reservations and managing the hotel’s reservation system. Ensure all guest details are accurately recorded. Customer Service: Provide personalized service, assisting guests with requests such as directions, recommendations for local attractions, or special accommodations. Administrative Support: Assist with clerical tasks like filing, answering phone calls, and responding to emails. Problem Resolution: Address guest complaints or concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate supervisor when necessary. Coordination with Other Departments: Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other teams to ensure smooth daily operations and guest satisfaction. Learning & Development: Participate in training sessions to learn about hospitality management practices, front desk operations, and customer service standards. Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or recent graduate). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. A friendly, positive, and professional attitude. Basic knowledge of computer systems and reservation software is a plus, though not always required.
