Position Title: Front of House Usher, Student Assistant Requisition Number: 0406073436 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Drama/Productions Responsibilities: The Front of House area at the College of Performing Arts (CoPA) at The New School seeks a highly motivated student to serve as an Usher. The Front of House Department is responsible for the patron experience at on-site events. We are looking for responsible, personable, communicative, and punctual individuals. The usher reports to the Manager of Event Operations and is an ideal position for students interested in a career in performing arts, events, and production.
This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards, as well as student applicants without a Federal Work Study award.

Hourly Rate: $16
Hours per Week: 20 (maximum)
Responsibilities Greet patrons and answer questions Distribute printed programs to patrons Assist patrons in finding their seats Check in patrons using our app-based check-in system Execute stage changes for classical recitals when assigned Additional responsibilities as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Minimum QualificationsBackground and education in the performing arts Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications 2 years usher experience 2 years experience in customer service Recipient of Federal Work Study award Job Family: New School for Drama Posting Date: 07/02/2024 Closing Date: Open Until Filled Yes Supplemental Questions
