Location Description Welcome to the Delta Hotels by Marriott Jacksonville Deerwood, a proud member of the Pyramid Global Hospitality portfolio. Overview Front Office Manager provides guest service as well as supervision, direction and leadership in the Front Office in accordance with the objectives, performance and quality standards of the hotel. Responsibilities include but are not limited to training, scheduling, coaching, disciplinary action, conducting meetings and assist in leading a team of approximately 8-10 front desk agents, 2 assistant managers, PBX agents and night auditors as well as provide additional support to the bellman, gift shop/van drivers and concierge. Must be able to promote a positive work environment as well as a strong sense of unity and teamwork. Essential Functions: Directs all activities of the front office and communicates with other departments to ensure complete guest satisfaction Motivates and ensures team members perform to the high service level required, maximizing guest satisfaction. Maintain complete knowledge of: All hotel services/hours of operation All hotel Food and Beverage Outlets All hotel catering events All hotel room inventory, daily occupancy, rate structure Develop training programs for department to maximize guest satisfaction scores Schedule and conduct monthly departmental meetings Resolving guest issues Manage guest arrival and departure process; ensure necessary proper guest information is collected. Enforce all current SOPs and hotel policies. Create new SOPs as needed. Maintain proper inventory of all supplies necessary for the front desk. Submit all purchase orders and check requests while adhering to proper budgetary guidelines. Provides backup coverage for associates during lunch breaks, checking in/out answering phone lines and handling guest comments and concerns. First point of contact for guest issues Provides follow up of maintenance/housekeeping requests. Ensure the satisfaction of all guests by responding to guests needs, leading other associates in handling guests concerns. Gives guidance to staff in their professional development so as to prepare them for advancement opportunities. Interacts with guests regularly to obtain feedback on ways to improve the hotel's services and facilities. Assists in the Lobby by providing leadership presence in the lobby and to meet and escort guests as required. Reviews and completes Front Office Manager's checklist and ensure all areas are covered per checklist. Acts as a direct contact as related to front office Monitors availability and occupancy on a daily basis and constantly communicates with AGM to resolve any challenging issues. Conducts interviews for all front office positions as well as associate disciplinary actions. Directs and maps sell-out strategies for the day of arrival. Assumes other duties as assigned by the AGM
