**Primary Function**
To setup, operate, and maintain the front panel cold roll and stainless steel automated forming lines producing quality parts while meeting production schedules.
**General Quality Responsibilities**
All employees are responsible for the quality of their work. If quality standards or expectations cannot be met, the employee responsible for the work is required to notify the supervisor of the area immediately.
**Tools & Equipment**
Gauges, ordinary hand tools, sheet lifters, mechanical transfer equipment, stamping presses, micrometers, calipers, powered lift truck, radio, computer, and other miscellaneous hand tools
**Training/Licensing Requirements**
P.V.O. license, Lock-out Tag-out Training, Protecting Your Safety & Health, Developing Troubleshooting Skills, Reading Blueprints, Understanding Basic Mechanics, Understanding Basic Electricity, Understanding Basic Pneumatics, Introduction to Process Control. Intro to OPEX, Understanding MSEs.
**Material**
Cold Roll and Stainless Steel blanks, drawing compound, plastic, control plans, drawings, blueprints, dies, presses, etc.
**Essential Functions**
+ Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals and fractions; use simple adjustable measuring devices; read simple drawings; interpret production schedules and inspection reports.
+ Six months up to and including 2 years.
+ Requires the ability to plan and perform work when the details are not spelled out, but which fall within recognized methods. Use above average amount of judgment and initiative.
+ Requires continuous lifting of from 1-5 lbs., or frequent lifting of from 5-35 lbs., or occasional lifting of from 35-60 lbs.
+ Requires continual attention of a normal degree, or concentrated attention for brief periods.
+ Probable damage would exceed $2000, but seldom over $5000
+ Requires reasonable care at least 25% of the work day to prevent injuries to others, such as burns, cuts, or bruises of minor nature.
+ Requires intermittent, but regular, instruction of other people, or assigning and coordinating their work.
+ Somewhat disagreeable working conditions. Usually not more than one objectionable element present at a time.
+ Accident hazard is moderate, with exposure at least 25% of the work day to lost time accidents such as crushed hand or foot, loss of fingers, eye injury, broken bones, etc..
**Working Procedure**
+ Setup line each shift which includes opening dies, changing stencils, start lube, etc.
+ Periodically checks stamped parts for dimensional integrity using the C.M.M.
+ Assists with maintenance in repairs of equipment.
+ Enter work orders into maintenance work order computer system.
+ Operates any station on the line or may perform roving duties such as inspecting or stacking.
+ Keeps parts and material stocked as required.
+ Prepare lines by removing bolts and automation to allow diesetters to access the dies.
+ Checks all stations for proper operation.
+ Clears all jams which may occur at any station.
+ Advises appropriate personnel of discrepancies in material or parts and malfunctions in equipment.
+ Monitor upstream production usage to help determine priority for stainless production.
+ Maintain scrap chutes - keep free of jams, etc.
+ Lubricates all equipment.
+ Replaces water and oil lines.
+ Performs regular P.M. work such as lubrication, cleaning, etc.
+ Determines what to charge back to steel vendor. (Lamination, etc.)
+ Change punches and performs minor die repairs.
+ Must work required number of hours as determined by department, shift and position
