Communicate daily objectives and functions as a liaison between employees and supervisors. Order meat as needed. Responsibilities: + Work alongside team to direct the short-term flow and organization of product area. + Accurately cut trim and yield specifications as specified by information. + Properly label all products and equipment to conform to all legal and safety regulations. + Properly and accurately record all necessary data to produce assigned cutting yield tests. + Maintain work areas in compliance with USDA guidelines. + Help develop and follow all safe work practices. + Follow company safety programs. + Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred skills: High School Diploma Understanding of Red Meats and Muscles (Butchering) Safe Knife Handling Required Qualifications: + Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. + Ability to perform mathematical calculations and conversions to determine the number of sizes of products needed for orders. + Prior experience with portion cutting meat. Physical Requirements: + This job requires worker to lift up to 50 pounds. + Must be able to step, climb, balance, kneel, bend, and reach above shoulders as needed. + Must be able to work in a cold and wet environment.
