Location Description The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center is a magnificent and storied hotel nestled in the heart of Roanoke, Virginia. Built in 1882, the Tudor-style hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a member of the International Association of Conference Centers. Boasting a total of 329 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites, the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center offers a range of accommodation options to suit the needs of every guest. Overview We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused FSA/Busser to join our team! The FSA/Busser is key to a successful operation. This individual is responsible for supporting the service team with delivering memorable hospitality to our guests. As a FSA/ Busser, it is your responsibility to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, working to keep the serving stations filled, clearing, and cleaning tables, and keeping the restaurant clean. This individual will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude. Typical shift - 6:15am-11:30am or 6:15am-3pm(Ish). Must be available on weekends and Mondays and Tuesdays. Cross-training opportunities available once job probatory period has been completed and if interested to cross- train. Scheduled subject to change based on business levels and needs. This is a tremendous opportunity for a driven person to grow and learn at a world-class property! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Clear tables when vacated by guests. Remove used cutlery, glassware, etc. and bring to kitchen area. Replace soiled linen, clean floor area; re-set table to company standards. Provide menus, water, and coffee refills as required. Be aware of customer needs; notify wait staff of any problems or delays. Keep kitchen work areas clean. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of dining area and entry as required. Present a well-groomed, professional appearance, including adhering to uniform regulations; practice good personal hygiene at all times. Hair must be restrained at all times in order to prevent contamination of food. Attend meetings as scheduled for training and informational purposes. Extend hospitality and courtesy to guests and other employees.
