We are currently looking for an FSQ Specialist located in Grand-Island, NE.
About the role.
The FSQ Specialist manages finished goods positive release, net contents. Records statistical data. Analyzes data and writes summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards. Recommend modifications to existing, or suggest new, standards, methods and procedures. Works closely with the Quality Team to help identify, solve and prevent problems affecting quality. The Specialist also performs a variety of quality control tests/inspections and/or standard microbiological, chemical, physical or sensory testing and assays on products, materials, components, etc. at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.

Product Hold & Release:
Responsible for releasing or holding finished product Responsible for hold product and rework documentation review and disposition. Track non-conforming inventory Report all KPI information for the department (ex. Report out finished product scrap) Involved in trace and recall procedures and support traceability exercise.
Systems:
SAP QM Super user- responsible for learning, implementing, teaching, maintenance and reporting data from the GLOBE QM module of SAP Release coordination, Holds and Rework dispositions Traceability for recall & withdrawal Manage & update Quality Master Data Inspection plan creation & management, ensure alignment with QMS & HACCP As the compliance champion for the plant, be the Intelex Superuser for Quality, responsibilities include Overall trainer & superuser for all applications within quality Participate in applicable portions of 3rd party and customer audits Document Control owner: Review new and existing corporate quality policies and procedures. Update internal plant documents as necessary. Develop plant wide documentation control process to meet audit requirements. Responsible for Net Contents system support & reporting: Supports the functionality of net contents software on the factory floor Complete and assess lot summary reports for compliance Oversee Batch status & WMS Hold & Release within warehouse systems
Floor Support:
Audits GMPs, procedures and paperwork on the production floor Conducts coaching and training to employees Identifies gaps in procedures or processes Supports Improvement initiatives (e.g. complaints, holds) with Factory, and drives improvement projects Maintain consumer complaint awareness through distribution of top complaints for production lines Daily Review of HACCP documentation on Shop Floor Daily Behavior Based Quality observations Conducts special projects as assigned Support needed sample shipment Able to work flexible hours and able to cover off shifts
Qualifications.

B.S. Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related field, required. Preferably 1-3 years manufacturing and or laboratory (1-3 years) experience in food industry (internship experiences will be considered). Sound mathematical and basic food science understanding. Good knowledge of statistics and interpretation of experimental data Basic understanding of the manufacturing environment and production operations. Detail- oriented, take initiative, and ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and basic food regulatory requirements. Proficiency in SAP is preferred

Compensation Package: $52,600.00 -$70,200.00 USD annually + bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
