SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the assisting the overall coordination of the quality assurance program as directed by the QA Supervisor and also assist in the scale house operations. The QA program is designed to ensure continuous production of high-quality finished products consistent with established standards. Achievement of these standards is realized by performing the following duties personally or in coordination with the QA Supervisor. The following list of responsibilities and requirements is not intended to be comprehensive and may be modified at any time by the Division Human Resource, QA Supervisor and Division Manager in response to current business needs. Any of the duties listed below may be reassigned to other positions within the Division and additional duties may be assigned to this position at the discretion of the QC Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in maintaining quality control objectives complementary to Company policies and established Company goals and criteria.Provides inspection activity for product throughout the production cycle.Applies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each departmentActively contributes to quality management teams within organizationSupports and receives direction from the Division Quality Assurance Supervisor. Computes and records totals of tallied figures.Examines and sorts of items.Records number and types of defects for quality control purposes.Counts sample quantity of parts onto ratio balance scale and computes total number of parts.Issues receipts.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus, one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Must possess intermediate to advanced computer and office skills with the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software to adequately support business objectives.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday

3:00PM-12:00AM – 2nd Shift

11:00PM-8:00AM – 2nd Shift

At the discretion of the QA Supervisor, additional working hours and working days may be required outside of this timeframe to support plant operations including Saturdays and Sundays and alternative shifts.
