About This Role
+ Support the Flight Simulator Training Devices and Other Training Devices: Attend maintenance calls, device setup, conversions, demos, assist during Simulator Flight Tests, support snag clearance activities, etc…
+ Independently perform the Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs), Daily Readiness (DR), Recurrent QTG runs, Aircraft Database (ADB) updates, & IOS Lesson Plan (LP) updates on the training devices & associated systems. Keep the associated records up to date. Action deficiencies associated with these tasks.
+ Accountable to maintain, keep track, and request consumable items and tools required to perform the Preventive Maintenance Tasks, Daily Readiness, and Corrective Maintenance Tasks.
+ Perform low level troubleshooting of issues on the training devices, using schematics, and aircraft/device system documentation. Monitor SimHub/Simissues for updates & use the Computerized Maintenance Management System to record, track, review, & update deficiencies & other maintenance activities.
+ May be assigned as a Device Caretaker, Task Caretaker, or as Lead for the Other Training Devices. Manage all aspects of the roles autonomously. Create, improve, or update procedures & guidelines for routine tasks.
+ Participate in the On the Job Training (OJT) of FSTD Support Apprentices. Provide support for work on more complex PMTs, QTGs, ADB / LP updates, and during corrective maintenance tasks. Consult senior colleagues or FSTD Technical Specialists for technical support as required.
+ Support logistics duties, including yearly inventories, re-arrangement of stores, packing, preparation for shipping, etc… Perform housekeeping and administrative functions, or other tasks, as reasonably required.
+ Comply with local & global CAE Environmental Health & Safety standards, instructions, and safe working procedures. Exercise duty of care for own H&S, and that of others who may be affected by his/her work.
