Production Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that shipping operations are executed in a safe, timely and efficient manner. This is a key position in the Distribution Solutions team.Reports to the Production Supervisor. Support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Correctly use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. Read and interpret the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.

Qualifications for the role

\tAssembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions.\tReads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.\tUses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks. \tMaintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies. \tMaintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed.\tInventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed. \tPeriodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor. \tPerforms other related duties as assigned. \tOvertime is required \tKnowledge and use of tools – tape measure, screwdriver, battery operated tools, etc. \tKnowledge of hardware arrangements – nuts, bolts, screws, etc. \tKnowledge of 5S – sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain\tKnowledge and use of necessary PPE \tAbility to read and interpret engineering job spec sheet, connection diagrams, bill of materials, and standard assembly drawings \tAbility to use crane or other lifting devices, as needed \tAbility to use and work with hand tools \tAbility to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed \tAbility to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs \tAbility to speak, read, and write the English Language \tAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple or basic instructions \tBasic computer skills to be able to look up parts based on bill of materials\tBasic mathematical skills \tBasic communication skills \tHand, eye coordination skills and use of both hands \tHigh school diploma or equivalent required. \tLegal authorization to work in the US is required.
