FT Director of Activities
We Are Inspired to Serve. Join us!Part of a nation wide family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities is seeking an Director, Activities. This position develops and implements the activity program for the independent living residents. Assures that the planning, coordination, and implementation of the activity program meet the residents' needs.

In this role, the Director, Activities will:

Works within the Life Connect philosophy established by CL to encourage residents as they seek ways to connect with “life-giving” activities both on and off campus.Be responsible for the activity program for independent living residents.Plan and arrange activities which involve small and large group participation and are designed to promote interpersonal relationships.Develop effective utilization of community resources, including classes through adult Ed, community groups, guest speakers, musical performances and off campus trips.Interpret and communicate to residents, staff and the community the purpose and achievements of the residential activities program.Use appropriate promotional materials for the activities program.Develop, implement and maintain written policies and procedures regarding the activities department functions.Develop and is accountable for the annual budget for the residential activities department.Involve residents in the planning and implementation of events.Responsible for integrating all new residents into the life and program of the campus.Arrange transportation to activity events for residents to community and theatrical events.Plan and arrange refreshments and decorations for events.Maintain equipment used for activity functions.  Keep dining service, facilities management and Administration apprised of resident activities that require services from these departments through written and verbal communication.

The ideal candidate will have:

College graduate or equivalent.Knowledge in evaluating resident needs.One year experience in conducting group activities, as well as, experience in supervising volunteers.
