Minimum Required Education 45 semester hours college credits (or equivalent experience). Associates Degree preferred.
Minimum Required Experience Must have current FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate with Airplane Single engine Class Rating. Must have current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate. CFI- Instrument Airplane (CFI-I) Rating and Multi-engine Instructor (MEI) preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong interpersonal skills that enable the incumbent to work on an individual basis with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and write articulately and analytically. Ability to understand, apply and teach the relevant technical skills. Ability to work well in stressful situations. Ability to work as a team to help complete the training of our students in the most effective and efficient way. Periodically report to the program leadership of student performance. Must be of good moral character and be a role model to the students of the program; treating all students in a respectful manner. Must be able to problem solve and make decisions analytically. Ability to reason logically and methodically. Ability to plan, organize and document training programs and records. Ability to apply instructional techniques in the classroom and in flight. Ability to maintain an assigned schedule and meet appointments punctually and adequately prepared. Salary Salaried pay scale: Category 1K Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Fri 8:00am -5:00pm, Other - Weekend On Call for Cross-country and solo flights (2 to 3 weekends on call per semester, Overtime, describe requirements - Must be willing to work after normal hours, aas needed Posting Detail Information Other Information Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
