Job Summary:
The Receptionist is responsible for to greeting visitors and guests at Seneca Hill Manor and directing them accordingly. The receptionist will also be responsible for maintaining communication throughout the facility as it relates to incoming telephone calls, and tracking movement of residents through the alert process.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Receiving visitors, signing them in and providing a badge, ascertaining their needs and directing them accordingly. Answering the telephone console and directing/transferring calls. Distributing Resident Alerts and maintain a current census list of residents in the building. Receiving staff and visitor meal orders and payments and reconciling with log sheets. Maintaining and balancing the reception petty cash box. Receiving payments for accounts and writing receipts. Running postage on outgoing mail. Receiving and distributing mail. Copying as required. Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities (Unit Specific):
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as directed by Executive Assistant. Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities. Demonstrated ability of conflict resolution and problem solving. Organized and professional demeanor. Knowledge of the aging process as it relates to health care. Comprehension of resident rights and abuse reporting regulations.Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point experience required. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, typing, filing, data entry, copying & assisting with various projects. Must be flexible with the ability to cover days/evenings/weekends and/holidays as needed.Working Conditions:
Participates in in-service education and competency-based activities as indicated. Requires attendance of staff and team meetings. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times.Pay Range: $15.75-$18.90/hour
Employee salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
