NYU Shanghai (https://shanghai.nyu.edu/academics/faculty) invites applications for a visiting Assistant/Associate/Professor of Practice of Biology position. The appointment is expected to begin on September 1, 2025. This is a one year position with the possibility of annual renewal for up to three years, pending administrative approval. Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai (https://shanghai.nyu.edu/academics/faculty) are comparable to NYU New York and other U.S. institutions. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in biology or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment on September 1st, 2025. The candidate is expected to teach 4 courses per academic year. While we seek applications from candidates with an active research profile, successful candidates will be hired on the basis of teaching and service . We invite applications from candidates in any field and have a special interest in those with expertise in genomics and/or bioinformatics. We seek candidates to teach foundational biology, genomics and/or bioinformatics, and with the possibility to develop course(s) within the expertise of the candidate.
