Fuel Controls Specialist, Navy
**Responsibilities** Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is seeking a Fuel Controls Technician to work in the position of an In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), and provide support to U.S. Navy Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) programs. You will provide engineering and technical assistance support at San Diego, CA. The Fuel Controls Specialist is a full-time position, and will consist of a combination of remote work, and onsite work at ships located in San Diego. The position will facilitate testing and troubleshooting of fuel controls related equipment and leading technical refreshes of existing systems. + Complete Shipboard Operability Verification Tests for digital fuel control systems. + Assess proper integration with Tank Level Indicators, Pressure Transducers, Electrical Actuators, etc. + Travel to fleet concentration areas to facilitate technical installations, training, and or repairs. Up to 10%. + Facilitate crew upgrade training as it pertains to new system installation and operation. + Provide subject matter expertise at status meetings. + Complete assigned tasking with minimal to no supervision. + Facilitate fleet implementation and fielding plans. + Develop and execute test plans. + Provide feedback and lessons learned for test plans and technical documentation. + There will be an opportunity for a hybrid work environment. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related technical field + 3 years minimum technical experience in architecting and designing electrical to mechanical systems or a minimum of 9 years of related experience such as active military service as an EM, ET, ETV, or GSE without a degree. + Must have a DoD Secret clearance. + Additional electrical technician related experience may also be considered. + Must be willing and able to travel up to 10%, domestic and international (passport required). **Desired Qualifications** + Proficiency of standard electrical components on a naval vessel with the capacity to troubleshoot. + Knowledge of the Fuel Controls system and various fuel monitoring components not limited to pressure transducers and switches, digital and analog level indicators, and gauges. + Knowledge of basic project management principles to include but not limited to planning, organizing, directing and controlling organizational resources in order to meet goals and objectives. + Experienced in specific to Naval maintenance and upkeep processes is a plus. + Ability to interact with multiple navy activities and effectively communicate technical information with all levels of personnel both military and civilian. **Overview** Noblis (http://www.noblis.org/) and our wholly owned subsidiaries, Noblis ESI , and Noblis MSD tackle the nation's toughest problems and apply advanced solutions to our clients' most critical missions. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours.
