Fuel Manager

Here are just a few ways that you’ll help make journeys better:  

Leadership and Management:

Analyze market conditions, sales volumes, costs, competitive prices, and supply forecasts to maintain our petroleum products pricing function.Develop retail pricing strategies with input from the operations team and monitor their implementation.Adjust site-level fuel retails as needed, including some mornings, evenings, and weekend rotations.Achieve volume and pricing goals by implementing pricing strategies, analyzing reactions to price changes, and developing pricing tactics.Determine the relationship between pricing and volume to achieve increased volume and profit.Develop and manage a database of key competitors that impact each location’s pricing strategies.Compile and analyze financial data from various sources to provide management with planning information.Coordinate terminal deliveries with carriers and distribution group to manage inventory demands and throughput requirements.Ensure accurate supply costs are calculated for each tender received based on contract agreements.Troubleshoot fuel shortages and contribute to team effort by accomplishing Financial and Key Result Area targets.

Training and Development:

Provide primary support to store managers and market managers on fuel category training and compliance.Counsel operations team on retail pricing strategy development and execution.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with operations team as a key fuels liaison.

Organizing and Planning:

Efficiently schedule and organize time to achieve uniform compliance of fuels goals.

Financial:

Optimize price/volume relationship when establishing retail pricing strategies.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We want you to join our team! Here’s what we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, business or other acceptable retail convenience/fuels and operations equivalent experience.Experience in the fields of fuel pricing, fuel marketing, fuel distribution, fuel transportation, and marketing.Ability to set priorities, work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.Advanced knowledge of Excel, and working knowledge of MS Access, Power Point, and Word.Strong analytical and quantitative abilities to work with large and complex datasets.Excellent written and oral communication skills.
