Job Overview
The Assistant, Fulfillment & Network Performance is responsible for the successful short- and long-term performance of the Macy’s network as part of the Supply Chain group. The Assistant supports network analysis and the implementation of fulfillment strategies across fulfillment centers and stores to enhance customer experience and reduce delivery expenses. The Assistant collaborates closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to effectively execute Macy’s network strategy.
What You Will Do
Provide support and analysis on a wide range of topics, including network strategy/design, fulfillment logic, inventory allocation, and fulfillment automation options. Generate reports and analytics to support decision-making across the supply chain. Maintain data inputs for supply chain network modeling across all Macy’s businesses (Stores, D2C, Furniture, and Reverse Logistics). Assist in analyzing proposed network changes, such as new facilities or changes in inventory flow. Monitor inventory in fulfillment centers and recommend actions for unproductive inventory. Develop reporting and processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Support alternative fulfillment solutions, including pop-up locations, stores, and vendor direct fulfillment. In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.
Skills You Will Need
Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and provide insights to support decision-making.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint: Expert-level proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for creating clear, impactful presentations.
Experience with Network Modeling Tools: Experience with network modeling tools (e.g., Llamasoft) and proficiency in Python and SQL/relational databases is a plus.
Clear Communication: Ability to communicate complex analyses in a clear and actionable manner, presenting findings to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Presentation Skills: Comfortable presenting analysis to groups and articulating complex findings to business owners.
Collaboration and Relationship Building: A collaborative personality with the ability to build relationships across teams, gain consensus, and drive projects forward.
Growth Mindset: Ability to leverage a learning-oriented mindset, seeking new opportunities for both business improvement and personal development.

Who You Are
Dedicated to fulfilling ideals of diversity, inclusion, and respect that Macy’s aspires to achieve every day in every way. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 2+ years of work experience in Supply Chain, Retail, or CPG is preferred. Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision. Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
