Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in the public accounting industry located in Hickory, North Carolina, United States. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be tasked with overseeing the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. Responsibilities: • Execute full charge bookkeeping functions to ensure smooth financial operations • Handle the preparation of financial statements • Perform month and year-end closing processes • Oversee and manage payroll processing for both under 100 and 101-500 employees • Ensure accuracy in all bookkeeping tasks • Handle automated payroll systems and manage local and multi-state payroll taxes • Maintain a thorough record of all company transactions • Take charge of customer credit application processing • Ensure customer credit records are kept up-to-date and accurate. Requirements • Proficiency in bookkeeping and understanding of bookkeeping functions • Experience as a full charge bookkeeper, managing all aspects of accounts • Capability to perform full charge bookkeeping duties • Knowledge of automated payroll systems and ability to handle payroll efficiently • Understanding of local payroll tax laws and regulations • Experience with multi-state payroll and ability to manage the complexities involved • General payroll skills, including processing and managing payroll for companies • Experience in handling payroll for companies with 101 - 500 employees • Experience in managing payroll for smaller companies with under 100 employees.
