Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is integral to our team, where you will play a key role in preparing for audits, managing accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring the accuracy of journal entries. Responsibilities: • Assist in the preparation and execution of annual audits • Handle accounts receivable tasks, including billing and sending reimbursement requests for grants • Support the month-end process • Ensure the accuracy of journal entries • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the accuracy of accounts payable • Utilize QuickBooks Online for various accounting tasks • Display initiative in all tasks and function effectively with minimal supervision • Manage account and balance sheet reconciliation • Conduct bank reconciliations • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for data management and financial analysis. • Solid understanding and practical knowledge of accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) operations to manage company's financial obligations. • Expertise in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) to oversee the cash inflow of the organization. • Ability to perform account reconciliation to ensure financial records are accurate and complete. • Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation to validate company's financial statements. • Experience in performing bank reconciliations to confirm the company's financial records match with the bank statements.
