Full Charge Bookkeeper
Description We are in the search for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in the Manufacturing industry, located in Ooltewah, Tennessee. In this role, you will manage a variety of tasks including processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Assist with the preparation of journal entries and month-end processes • Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel for various bookkeeping tasks • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks, including the processing of a varying number of invoices weekly • Learn and apply sales and use tax regulations • Handle credit card transactions associated with job costs • Handle customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency • Maintain detailed and up-to-date customer credit records • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required • Conduct payroll tasks in-house, including the transition to an electronic timesheet system • Support the team in various tasks and show initiative in learning and taking on new responsibilities. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software is essential for managing accounting tasks • Candidate must be adept in Microsoft Excel to handle data analysis and reporting • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is required to ensure timely and accurate payments • Skills in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary to maintain healthy cash flow • Knowledge of General Ledger is essential for accurate financial reporting and analysis • Experience in preparing and adjusting Journal Entries is needed for maintaining accurate books • Capability to handle Payroll for 101 - 500 employees is a must for this role • Experience in In-House Payroll management is required to ensure smooth salary disbursement • Familiarity with Multi-State Payroll is necessary as the company operates in multiple states. **All candidates must undergo drug and background screening for consideration.
