The Johns Hopkins Carey Business School invites applications for a tenured Professor position in Finance for appointments beginning in August 2025. This position is available at both Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC campuses. We welcome applications from candidates motivated by the unique opportunity to participate in growing a world-class business school at a premier private university. Candidates will join a growing, research-active finance group with interests in all areas of theoretical and empirical finance. The ideal candidate will have a distinguished academic record suitable for a tenured appointment at the full professor level. We seek candidates with research interests that lie at the intersection of the data sciences and finance, preferably with expertise or significant interest in devising and applying artificial intelligence methods for finance. Candidates should have substantive research records with publications as well as pipelines of working papers in these areas targeted at the top journals. Qualified candidates must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field. As teaching responsibilities will be at the MBA and master's level programs, evidence of successful teaching in a business school environment is highly desirable. The expected base pay salary range for this position is as follows: Full Professor: $245,000 - $375,000 a year The referenced salary range is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will be based on factors including, but not limited to, the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate - e.g., years in rank, training, field, discipline, other work experience, and other similar factors; geographic location; internal equity; external market conditions; and other factors as reasonably determined by the University. The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the Carey Business School faculty compensation program.
