**Overview** SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL or Reston, VA. As a member of the Office of the CTO (OCTO), you will leverage your technical expertise to design, implement, and maintain complex software architectures across a diverse portfolio of contractual programs, Proof of Concepts (POCs), and Internal Research and Development (IR&D) projects. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation, create cutting-edge solutions, and directly impact both internal and external customers. **Essential Job Duties** + Operate as part of an innovation cell within the OCTO to deliver impactful solutions for SOSi and our customers + Design, develop, and deploy full-stack software using modern frameworks, tools, and best practices + Collaborate in innovation sprints to rapidly prototype, build, and deploy solutions for customer challenges + Build scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based architectures for AI/ML, data-driven applications, and more + Develop seamless integrations between APIs, microservices, backend systems, and responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces + Contribute to and engage with the open-source community to leverage and enhance relevant technologies + Craft thought leadership articles, whitepapers, and technical content for RFIs and RFPs to showcase SOSi’s capabilities **Minimum Requirements** + A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred but not required; or equivalent experience + Target 7 years' experience or very strong work samples + Exceptional technical communication skills, with the ability to translate rough concepts into actionable solutions + Expertise in full-stack software development, including: + Experience with complex software patterns, such as distributed systems and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes + Frontend: Modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue + Backend: Node, Python, Java, Kotlin or other server-side languages + Data Modeling: Relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB) + DevSecOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, security scanning, and vulnerability remediation + Someone who thrives in dynamic R&D/lab environments over structured pre planned work **Preferred Qualifications** + AWS Solutions Architect certifications + Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect certification + Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines and distributed systems + An Active Secret/Top Secret clearance + IL6 experience + Located in Huntsville AL or Reston VA **Work Environment** + Hybrid work environment + Agile, fast-paced environment with opportunities for major impact + May occasionally require non-traditional working hours, including nights or weekends Benefits Health + Comprehensive dental, vision, and medical coverage. + Life and disability insurance options. + Health Advocate Program for personalized support Financial + Competitive 401(k) retirement plan with company contributions Leave + 16 Days off + holidays and flexible floating holidays + Paid Parental Leave Learning + Tuition Reimbursement Program + Reimbursement for approved trainings/subscriptions + Approved Conferences (travel, lodging, and fees) **Working at SOSi** All interested individuals will receive consideration and will not be discriminated against for any reason.
