We're seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. You'll work across the entire software development lifecycle, collaborating closely with designers, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver innovative solutions.
Your future duties and responsibilities:Interprets requirements and builds middle and back-end Web applications. Develops software applications, using Java, JDBC, Relational Database, Spring Boot, containerization and messaging technologies. Automates pipelines using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery methods and tools – Git, Maven, Jenkins, and Docker. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Participates in architecture design teams.
• Defines and implements application architecture.
• Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems.
• Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
• Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
• Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
• Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
• Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
• Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
• Advises senior management on technical strategy.
• Mentors junior team members.
• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
• 6-9 years of experience in Java development, or 10+ years with demonstrated expertise.
• Development experience in frameworks such as Angular 8+, VueJS, Typescript.
• Proven proficiency in Java, Spring, Object Relational Mapping, Git, Maven, Continuous Integration, Docker, Kubernetes, HTTP, HTTPS, SSO/OAuth, PL/SQL, SQL, and database client tools.
• Hands-on experience in developing Web services and API solutions using various Java based frameworks
• Design, implement, and tune complex relational database applications using PL/SQL. Write performant SQL and PL-SQL logic, and utilize database client tools like Toad and SQL Developer.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of Java Integrated Development Environment tools, debugging techniques, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and web protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSO/OAuth).
• Knowledge in DevOps processes, continuous integration and delivery pipelines (Maven, Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, Docker)
• Experience working in a financial services environment is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Performing source code management and version control using DevOps tools -- git-stash, Jenkins, and Jira; and performing UNIX shell scripting; familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud environments and services.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300 -$146,800.
