CGI is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to work on a range of challenging assignments related to the evolution of a variety of financial applications.
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer skilled especially in back-end technologies, with solid expertise in Java/JEE, batch processing, API development, and extensive experience in distributed system design and cloud environments.
Candidates must have strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure requirements are translated into specific solutions.
This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our downtown Toronto office 2-3 times per week - subject to change at any time.
• Work with product owners and other development team members to determine new features and user stories needed in new/revised applications or large/complex development projects.
• Participate in the planning of daily activities with the team members.
• Participate in technical design and development activities.
• Participate in code reviews with peers and tech leads to ensure that each increment adheres to the original vision as described in the user story and all standard resource libraries and architecture patterns as appropriate.
• Provide support to troubleshooting technical issues.
• Plan, direct and coordinate daily activities of a development team for assigned projects, ensuring effective coordination and project progress.
• 8+ Years of Experience in end-to-end development of applications in Spring framework (Spring boot, Spring batch) and Angular stack
• 8+ years of experience in working with Oracle Database and very strong SQL knowledge
• 5+ years of experience in Backend Design and Development, hands-on experience with J2EE, Spring Batch, JPA, RESTful Web Services, and JSON.
• Competent in distributed systems design and implementation. Experience with Object-Oriented Design and test-driven development.
• Experience in working with large scale batch processing applications
• High Code Analysis skills: Ability to analyze high volumes of code and effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Exposure to any of the API Management platforms like Kong, Apigee etc
• Familiarity with distributed systems design patterns, microservices architecture, and experience with CI/CD in cloud environments
• Experience in CI-CD automation
• Experience with Cloud migration GCP (preferred) , AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers
• Experience with development life cycle including Source control (e.g. Bitbucket), build scripts (e.g. Maven), development of unit tests (e.g. JUnit);
• Experience working with a third-party server environment: WebLogic, Tomcat.
• Familiar in Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to Collaborate with different groups in matrix organization structure
