While the BTP Security team focuses its efforts on securing the BTP platform itself, it’s impact and scope often reach across all business units and is committed to helping SAP development teams achieve their goals securely. As part of this dynamic team, you'll work on a wide array of security technologies, shaping the very elements that define SAP's security landscape.

 

Role Description

As a BTP Development Engineer Compliance, you will design, develop, and implement solutions that ensure that SAP’s Business Technology Platform (BTP) complies with global regulatory standards. Working within an agile development team, you will collaborate closely within the team, while also being able to drive topics independently.

 

Tasks

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using cloud technologies. Collaborate across multiple product teams locally and in remote locations. Enthusiasm for learning about new technologies and evaluating how they can contribute within our context. Having an overall understanding of the different compliance regulations and standards. Interpretation of regulatory standards as per the underlying platform and applications for which the framework needs to be built on.

 

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of experience in the relevant area. Proven experience in software development, preferably within a compliance-focused environment. Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Javascript and/or Python and software development methodologies like Agile, Lean, Scrum. Excellent knowledge of Data Privacy Concepts, Compliance and Security Requirements, Cloud Development Lifecycle and development with frameworks like Java/Spring Boot, Javascript/Node.js, Python Advanced understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform. Fluency in English (written and verbal); German language skills are beneficial.

 

Desired Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Basic understanding of global compliance and regulatory standards relevant to cloud and software technologies (e.g., GxP, Data Privacy, CCSL, ISO) is a plus Experience with Agile software development processes. Good communication and interpersonal skills
