You'll have... 

A bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the position offered or 5 years of experience managing data in Teradata data warehousing, data migration and ETL development, using Teradata SQL, utilities, and the following tools: BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT. Also requires 5 years of experience creating Teradata data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and schema design; 2 years of experience developing data integration and ETL processes, including data mapping, and data validation; and 1 year of experience developing cloud-based data warehousing technologies and platforms, including Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure. Position reports to Dearborn, MI office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

We are offering a salary of $134,992 to $174,097 per year.

What you’ll be able to do: 

Full Stack Software Engineer – Teradata/ETL/DataStage positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Develop and maintain ETL jobs and workflows to extract, transform and load data from various sources into Teradata data warehouse. Customize views and macros using Teradata tools. Develop Unix Shell scripts and complex SQL queries. Deploy ETL Jobs (Parallel Jobs, Sequencers) using DataStage. Participate in database design and development projects, including data modeling, ETL processes and SQL programming. Collaborate with data architects, developers, and business stakeholders to design and develop efficient data models and schemas in Teradata. Perform system and data analysis, troubleshoot issues, and identify and implement solutions to ensure the data integrity and quality of the data, processing, and analytics. Provide technical guidance in the design, development, and implementation of Teradata data warehousing solutions using IBM Infosphere DataStage ETL tool. Monitor and analyze system performance metrics and logs to identify potential issues before they become critical. Develop and maintain documentation of ETL processes, data mappings, and data dictionaries. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of coding standards. Update and sync up the table DDL’s in power designer.
