Full Stack Software Engineer - Red Hat Developer Hub

The Red Hat Developer Hub (http://developers.redhat.com/rhdh/overview) team is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join us. In this role, you will work as an engineer on the Red Hat Developer Hub engineering team, developing new features and contributing to the Developer Hub, Janus IDP and Backstage upstream projects.
The Janus IDP project is a Red Hat sponsored community for building Internal Development Platforms and Plugins with backstage.io. The Backstage project is a CNCF open source project that provides an open platform for building developer portals. This team focuses on a few key project areas: Deployment targets & installation methods; Developing & enhancing Backstage plugins; Creating golden paths & templates; Contributing to the Janus IDP and Backstage communities by delivering features and fixes to the upstream projects
**What will you do:**
+ Learn and understand the technologies involved
+ Contribute to upstream projects by submitting and reviewing patches for bug fixes and feature requests to and from the community
+ Engineer automation frameworks, automated tests and automated quality checks into CI/CD processes for Red Hat Developer Hub
+ Work in a fast-paced environment where timely deliverables are as important as the big ideas for potential growth
+ Coordinate with team leads, architects, and other engineers to design solutions
+ Provide code and peer reviews
+ Document and maintain software functionality
+ Participate on a scrum team
+ Communicate with engineering and management teams across the globe
+ Guide new processes and procedures in the solutions space to improve the quality, consistency, and automation of releases
+ Publicize the team's work through blogs, web postings, and conference presentations
**What will you bring:**
+ Experience with Typescript, the following are considered a plus: React, YAML
+ Experience with Git
+ Understanding and experience of release engineering and continuous delivery process
+ Working knowledge on or with microservices, container and cloud-native application development
+ Well-versed in multiple solutions and possible tiers (unit tests, following are considered a plus: integration tests, end to end tests, etc.) available for test automation
+ Advanced skills in debugging and root cause analysis
+ Experience with contributing to open source communities
+ Good written and verbal communication skills in English
**The following are considered a plus:**
+ A passion for open source technologies, especially around data solutions
+ Familiarity with design-thinking concepts and implementations
+ Experience with Agile software development
