Full-Time, Teaching-Track Faculty Position in Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, may fill one or more positions as Instructor, Lecturer, Assistant Professor (Teaching), Associate Professor (Teaching) or Professor (Teaching) of Mathematics, beginning January 2025 or August 2025. These teaching-track faculty positions will be full or part-time, with a full-time load teaching three mathematics courses per semester. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate education and excellence in teaching.

Applicants should have a doctoral degree in mathematics or a closely related field of study. All areas of mathematics will be considered; however, the department is especially interested in candidates with experience in statistics or numerical analysis.   To apply, candidates should submit a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, and a teaching statement, preferably with the Standardized Cover Sheet of the American Mathematical Society. Candidates should also arrange for letters of recommendation to be sent, addressing their teaching skills.

The annual base salary range for this position is $72,200 - $121,695.
