Job Title: Grain Elevator Operations Technician

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Under the direction of the Facility Manager, the Elevator Operations Technician is responsible for elevator operations, including grain handling, safety and maintenance, rolling stock, and customer service. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient grain handling, maintaining quality standards, and delivering excellent service to customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Grain Handling: Responsible for managing incoming, stored, and outgoing grain, ensuring proper quality maintenance, blending, and providing grain drying services. Housekeeping: Maintains cleanliness and safety in all areas related to grain handling. Safety and Compliance: Ensures compliance with OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations. Responsible for the maintenance and professional appearance of equipment, rolling stock, and facilities. Customer Service: Provides exceptional customer service that results in a positive experience for all customers.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Equipment Maintenance: Maintains company equipment according to company standards and ensures the appropriate professional image by adhering to the company Uniform Policy. Additional Duties: Performs other related duties as assigned by the Facility Manager.REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; experience in an agricultural field preferred. Skills & Abilities: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Basic understanding and willingness to learn grain handling practices. Experience with mechanical diagnosis, service, repairs, and maintenance of equipment and vehicles. Basic computer skills are preferred to enhance grain handling operations. Licensing: Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.). Ability to work in noisy environments, and conditions that may involve dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards, with appropriate safety measures in place. Ability to work at varying heights, including climbing on grain bins and legs. Ability to lift between 51 - 70 lbs. Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work extended hours and be on-call as business conditions demand.
