Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool (Night Shift)

Inova Alexandria Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool team on a full-time basis. The Float Pool RN will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care across various units within the hospital during the night shift. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment while utilizing your clinical skills to their fullest potential.

Shift: Night (three 12 hour shifts)

Unit Assignments:

Acute Care General Units: Unit 23 (Med-Surg) Unit 26 (Ortho Surgical) Unit 4N (Medical Oncology) Acute Care Tele Units: Unit 21 (Cardiac Tele) Unit 25 (Cardiac/Neuro) Intermediate Care (IMC): Unit 28 (Cardiac/Pulmonary) Intensive Care Units (ICU): MSICU (Medical Surgical ICU) CVNICU (Cardiovascular Neurosurgical ICU)

Patient Ratios:

Acute Care General Units: 1:5 Acute Care Tele Units: 1:4 IMC: 1:3-4 ICU: 1:1-2

Requirements:

Experience: Must have 2+ years of acute care RN experience Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, and NIHSS  Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Licensure: licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
