The Medical Assistant supports nurses and physicians in delivering quality medical care, performing duties courteously and professionally in line with St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates' mission and values.
Schedule: M-F Office Hours - no weekends, evenings or Holidays

Key Responsibilities:
Escort patients, take vital signs, and document health information in the electronic medical record.Address patient concerns and assist with referrals and pre-authorizations for testing.Follow protocols for specimen collection and delivery.Participate in meetings and ensure patient forms are completed and scanned.Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms and manage office supplies.Perform office testing as trained, handle medical waste, and provide educational materials to patients.Support front-end functions like scheduling, check-in/out, charge entry, and document processing.Adhere to PCMH care delivery standards and maintain HIPAA compliance.Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively.Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate of a Medical Assistant Training Program.National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA).Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.At least 10 months of healthcare experience.Proficient in manual vital signs and electronic health record systems.Commitment to confidentiality and respect.Knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology.Experience assisting healthcare providers and providing patient health information.This job description provides a general overview and may evolve as needs change. Pay Range: $19.55 - $26.70
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
