United FC (Boys) & Sporting United FC (Girls) Michigan are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Soccer Coach to join our dynamic team. As a coach, you will be responsible for developing and implementing age-appropriate training sessions, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment, and promoting the overall growth and development of young soccer players. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of youth development principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create engaging and educational training sessions. A commitment to promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill progression is essential. Previous coaching experience and relevant licensing are required. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Player Development:

Design and implement age-appropriate training sessions to enhance players' technical skills, tactical understanding, and overall soccer abilities. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages player growth, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

2. Individualized Coaching:

Provide personalized feedback to players, focusing on their strengths and areas for improvement. Monitor and track the progress of each player, adapting coaching strategies to meet individual needs.

3. Game Strategy:

Develop and implement game strategies that align with the team's overall objectives and promote effective decision-making on the field. Analyze game performances and collaborate with players to improve team dynamics and outcomes.

4. Communication:

Maintain open and transparent communication with players, parents, and other coaching staff. Ensure clear and effective instructions during training sessions and games.

5. Skill Assessment:

Conduct regular assessments of players' skills and provide guidance on areas for improvement. Collaborate with other coaches to identify potential talent and progression pathways for players.

6. Rules and Regulations:

Ensure players have a solid understanding of the rules and regulations of the game. Emphasize fair play, ethical conduct, and respect for opponents, officials, and teammates.

7. Safety and Well-being:

Prioritize the safety and well-being of players during training sessions and games. Stay informed about and implement best practices for injury prevention and player health.

8. Parental Involvement:

Foster positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed about the team's activities, goals, and their child's progress. Encourage parental support in creating a positive soccer experience for the players.

9. Continued Professional Development:

Stay updated on the latest coaching methodologies, trends, and advancements in youth soccer. Pursue relevant coaching certifications and attend workshops to enhance coaching skills.

10. Community Engagement:

Actively engage with the local community to promote soccer and encourage participation. Organize and participate in community events that showcase the positive impact of youth soccer.

Requirements

Passion for youth development and soccer. Previous coaching experience - 4 years preferably. Relevant coaching certifications - USSF 'C' License (or equivalent)  Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment. Excellent computer and video analysis skills. Must have a United States Work Visa, Green-Card or Citizenship.
