Fully Skilled Maintenance Technician

Level 3 - Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform maintenance and repair services including mechanical and electrical within the manufacturing processes and support equipment. The primary emphasis of this role is to perform a variety of production maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.

Performance Expectations

Establish and maintain maintenance standards and provide maintenance solutions.  Maintain the equipment through preventive/predictive maintenance program. Performs work through the CMMS work order system for jobs to be done. Keep equipment in working condition for maximum uptime.

 

Credentials

Industrial trades certificate from an accredited school preferred Three or more years of experience in an industrial maintenance role Fully skilled multi-craft technician, machine repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial electricity, robotics, etc. required. Industrial controls electrician experience, preferred. Knowledgeable in different PLC Logic platforms (i.e. Fanuc, Siemens, etc.) Troubleshoot/ repair relay, PC and Servo driven equipment. Working knowledge of power electronic devices such as frequency drives, servo systems and SCR’s Minimum 2 years installing/ troubleshooting AC/DC control and medium/ low voltage power circuits. Advanced knowledge in troubleshooting automated systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics. Able to read and understand all codes and regulations. Troubleshoot breakdowns and return equipment to its normal operating condition in a timely manner. Inspect equipment and identify components that need to be replaced while performing repairs and preventive maintenance. Perform overhead work with the aid of industrial lift equipment.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to perform tasks independently under general direction. Ability to mentor and train apprentices and maintenance personnel Ability to work 12-hour continental shift. Ability to work overtime as required.
